Our mission statement

The mission of St. Michael’s Pre-School Hilperton is to provide a stimulating and high quality learning environment that meets the needs of the individual child within safe, secure, inclusive, nurturing and happy surroundings.

At St. Michael’s Pre-School we adhere to the Early Years Statutory Framework and use the Early Years Foundation Stage Guidance in order to support and extend the unique child within the Prime and Specific areas of learning, through play.

We believe that all children can learn and we provide opportunities and activities that recognise children’s varied abilities, interests, needs and learning styles.

Our Curriculum

At St Michael’s Pre-School, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to create a fun and supportive learning environment. We plan exciting themes that help children explore and understand the world around them, while always promoting British values. Our curriculum covers all areas of learning, and we tailor activities to meet each child's individual needs, ensuring every child feels included and valued

Our team

Our team is made up of passionate and dedicated professionals who are committed to offering exceptional care and education. Each member has undergone thorough checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service, ensuring the highest standards of safety and trust. With a continuous desire to grow, our staff frequently participate in short courses to deepen their understanding and refine their practices within the Early Years environment. If you would like to know more about their training and qualifications, don't hesitate to ask at the pre-school. Together, let’s inspire a love of learning and unlock the potential in every child!

Monday to Friday    9.00 to 12.00 noon
Children are welcome to attend more than one session a week.

Lunch Times   12pm – 12:30 pm

Snack Contribution Information
A small charge of 75p per session for children accessing their funding entitlement.
This contribution helps us ensure that snack time is safe, inclusive, and non-discriminatory for all children. By providing the snacks ourselves, we can manage dietary needs effectively and prevent any child with allergies from being placed at risk. If you would like to discuss this further or explore alternative arrangements, please speak with the Manager directly.
We have our own allotment where we grow fresh fruit and vegetables and children are encouraged to embrace gardening and grow their own produce for harvesting. The allotment provides all children the opportunity to learn throughout the EYFS Framework (the Early Years Foundation Stage)
For information on tax free childcare please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
A registration fee of £25 is payable on registration of your child’s place at the Pre-School.
